Patti Berry, RN

Chief Nursing Officer Emeritus

With nearly 40 years of experience in the nursing field, Patti Berry has devoted her career to improving patients’ access to quality health care and services across Nevada, Arizona and Colorado. As P3’s Chief Nursing Officer, she ensures that the patient’s voice is always heard and valued in all decisions.

Prior to joining P3, Berry served as the Chief Nursing Officer for HealthCare Partners Nevada (HCPNV), where she managed the organization’s nursing and medical management services, overseeing approximately 250 nurses in Southern Nevada. She improved every facet of the patient care experience by focusing on preventative care and extending services beyond the clinic’s walls.

She started her healthcare career on the front lines as a medical receptionist in Los Angeles, which inspired her to enroll in the California Hospital School of Nursing where she excelled, teaching procedures while pursuing her degree. Berry accepted her first nursing position at Sunrise Hospital in 1976 and furthered her nursing experience at Valley Hospital and North Vista Hospital before spending four years working with managed care organizations in Reno. Following her work in Northern Nevada, she became HCPNV’s first clinical employee in 1998.

Berry received her Registered Nurse Diploma from the California Hospital School of Nursing. In 2005, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of St. Francis. She was previously certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians; Certified Professional in Utilization Review. She is currently a Certified Case Manager (CCM) and Certified Managed Care Nurse (CMCN).

In addition to her work with HCPNV and other medical organizations, she was a leader in the Case Management Association of Las Vegas, which is dedicated to improving healthcare case management services. Berry has received many prestigious awards, including the March of Dimes 2013 Distinguished Nurse of the Year.
