Julia Navalta is a bright star in the Las Vegas medical community. She graduated valedictorian with a 4.7-grade point average from local Palo Verde High School, received a four-year undergraduate degree in just three years and marked her 10th year in nursing with a graduate degree in advanced nursing.
To be sure – she applies this same tenacity and drives when it comes to advocating for and providing preventative healthcare services to patients in her role as a family nurse practitioner at P3 Health Partners. But she also knows that patients can play a larger role in their own health and believes that an involved patient sees their practitioner when they need to, knows their medications and their health history, and includes a member of their family in their care.
Julia’s first experiences as a registered nurse were at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada and at a regional Veterans Affair Hospital – both in the medical and surgical services departments. Most recently, Julia worked at CareMore Health Plan of Nevada serving the geriatric population in the community where she focused on family- and community-centered care with the goal of preventing hospitalizations and identifying health problems before they escalated into more complicated situations. She values family time and enjoys making memories with her children at home.
Julia received her graduate degree in Advanced Practice Nursing with a focus on family nurse practice from Walden University based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
She is licensed as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse with the Nevada State Board of Nursing and is board certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a licensed Registered Nurse with the Nevada State Board of Nursing, is registered with the Drug Enforcement Agency and Medicare and Nevada Medicaid and is certified by the American Red Cross as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
