Las Vegas, Nev. – Community members in the Las Vegas Valley will soon have more options to choose from when it comes to selecting a medical group to manage their care. P3 Health Partners is opening four new clinics next month to raise the bar for quality care and reduce physician burnout. The clinics, under the organization’s newly formed Nevada Medical group, will be led by President Tracy Wakefield, M.D. and Chief Organizational Officer Sheri Bodager.
“Rising costs of treatment, low quality healthcare and physician burnout are the three main reasons why Nevada ranks at the bottom of national rankings,” says Dr. Wakefield.
What sets P3 Health Partners apart from other healthcare organizations in the market is its patient-centered, physician-led approach. Their model – built by doctors from the ground up – focuses on value-based, quality patient care rather than focusing on volume.
“We’ll deliver great care from the inside out,” says Dr. Wakefield. “When physicians shape the practice, they ensure our medical team makes the decisions on delivering the best care for our patients.”
P3 Health Partners will reduce the burden on providers by assigning each patient to a care team who will get to know their patients’ needs and meticulously track their progress. They will work with patients to prevent disease and disease progression and educate them on all of the options their medical plans offer. With the care team focused on wellness, patients with more emergent medical needs will have more access to physicians. This focus on wellness is the core of P3 Health Partners’ business model.
“Our standard of care is different from the traditional fee-for-service model where clinics are paid based on the number of times you visit,” says Bodager. “Our goal is to get you healthy and keep you healthy.”
The new clinics, staffed by two dozen clinicians, are easy to access and near major thoroughfares in Summerlin, Southern Hills, Seven Hills and Green Valley. A fifth clinic, near Mountain View Hospital, is set to open in June. Two-dozen healthcare providers – most of them local – have already signed on and will be ready when the doors open. The organization is still recruiting both clinicians and staff.
