P3 Health Partners Nevada has appointed two new executives to its senior management team. Dr. Jeffrey Wagner has been named chief medical officer of P3 Health Partners Nevada and Dr. Linda Johnson has been named medical director of P3 Medical Group.
Dr. Wagner has served P3 Medical Group since its inception in 2018 as one of the first primary care providers to join the organization in its goal to transform healthcare.
“It’s been a privilege to care for my patients at P3 Medical Group’s Southern Hills clinic for the past two years,” says Dr. Wagner. “Now, I look forward to expanding my role to oversee care for our more than 11,200 Medicare Advantage patients throughout Clark and Nye counties.”
A Las Vegas native, Dr. Wagner has nearly a decade of experience practicing primary care in the valley and is well versed in managed care and population health management. Dr. Wagner received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
In his new role as chief medical officer, Dr. Wagner is responsible for medical oversight of all aspects of clinical care for the organization’s medical group, its independent practice association (IPA) network and medical management teams. He will also lead the organization in advancing its mission to transform the delivery of primary care by partnering with payers and providers to drive improvements in the quality and cost of care for every P3 Nevada patient.
Along with her commitment to her patients as an internal medicine specialist at P3 Medical Group’s Whitney Ranch clinic in Henderson, Dr. Linda Johnson has also been leading Nevada’s team of P3 Medical Group providers as the vice president of clinician education since October 2018. Throughout her 30-year medical career, she has served as senior medical director of provider education, senior medical director of primary care and president of Southwest Medical Associates, where she led the organization in several initiatives in adult medicine and senior lifestyle. In her new role as medical director of P3 Medical Group, Dr. Johnson will be responsible for driving clinical results and excellence, overseeing provider experience and patient education, and assisting and guiding our team of P3 Medical Group clinicians to create optimal outcomes and experiences for all P3 Medical Group patients.
“P3 Health Partners is an organization that focuses on keeping our patients well – not just treating them when they are sick,” says Dr. Johnson. “My goal as medical director of P3 Medical Group is to support our providers and care teams to make sure that our patients have access to care when they need it, to support our providers to effectively manage diseases and illnesses in a way that results in the very best outcome for our patients, and to maintain – and even improve upon our stellar 95 percent patient satisfaction score.”
Dr. Johnson received her medical degree from the University of Missouri—Kansas City School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
